Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on October 1, 1995. She is an actor, well-known by her roles in Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House

Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is a group of actors, as is she, herself doing both professions. At the age of nine, Asia Argento began her acting career in Sergio Cittis's Sogni e bisogni. The year 1988 saw her played the main role in Cristina Comencini's first movie Zoo (1988) and as also being a member of Michele's casting in The Church (1989). The following year she played Nanni Moretti's daughter Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido was the film that launched Asia's acting career. She was able move from young girl roles to complex and mature roles. The film received a great reception at the Cannes International Film Festival. In Trauma (1993) it was the first time she made her debut with her father, famed Italian film director Dario Argento (her mother is among Argento's favorite actresses, Daria Nicolodi, playing an obese girl on the lookout of her parents' murderer. The Phantom of the Opera will be her third film together with her father, the first two films being Trauma & The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's focused and intense style of acting was also utilized in the film by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a Nozze. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot and she also had the role of an physically handicapped girl in that film. Her 1995 collaboration with Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another award from David di Donatello and Grolla di Oro. Asia began her career in 1994 as a director she produced two short films: Prospettive (1996), an account of her father's life and her mother, as well as Abel/Asia (1998) which was a documentary about cult filmmaker Abel Ferrara. The latter received an award from the Rome Film Festival. Asia made her debut as a feature director in Scarlet Diva (2000). In the film, she also starred and authored the screenplay. It was released on May 20, 2000 in Italy, and throughout the globe. It won an award at the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou, her first child was born to her in the year 2001. She directed a number of music videos. In 2002, she appeared in The Red Siren by Olivier Megaton with Jean-Marc Barr as well as the action-packed film directed by Rob Cohen, with Vin Diesel.
